Picco Boost
Hey Neal, just wondering when you're going to get some of the new Picco Boosts? I'm curious to find out how they compare to the P7R and JPX. Hopefully it doesn't give up too much bottom end in the quest for run time. I see that it is only listed as an engine and pipe combo, any idea if they will be selling just the engine at some point? I already have a Picco 2046 pipe, so I don't really need another one.
Thanks, Andy
Not available yet :( another 30 days we were told.
Nitrohouse only has the one in stock. Sweet looking mill though.
You are correct sir !
I have one of these going in my lads 808 this week, Comming from a OS back ground was very impressed with the design and quality of this Picco, They have defiantly picked up the tempo since i ran them 5 to 6 years ago.....will be interesting to see what clock work can get out of these mills...
Keep us posted on how she runs for you! I'll have to check ETA on the Boost.
Well started the run in today and must say the Boost ran and idled like a dream all day. Needle settings were a little lean for my liking from factory so fattened it up a little. CH heater keept the engine around 90deg when i had it on ( half hour sessions with the heater) even with the heater disconected from the main power the engine retained the long enough for the heater element to have a break then pluged it back in to bring the heat up again.. Very happy.

I have got 3 litres through the engine now and im gob smacked thats for sure, its got alot more power than i thought it would have thats for sure, being a 3 port is does not have the rev range of say the jammin 21 plus but the bottom end is way out of control in the truggy, rear end is all over the place off the line, so i have gone up one clutch bell to smooth out the bottom end and also give the engine that little more legs i think it needs.....i also changed out the picco 2046 pipe and installed a alpha 0801 pipe which has also increased the mid to top end and the things is awsome....im still running it with the stock 7mm venturi fitted and using 30% nitro x race fuel, maxlife clutch shoes and 1.0 mugen clutch springs.....
Once neil gets inside one of these engines im sure he will find ways to improve the rev range and power supply even more, stock out of the box the picco 21 plus combo package would be perfect for a buggy thats for sure, light weight with an awsome bottom end and smooth power range, Time for the BOOST to be CLOCKED guys
I've got a few coming in early-mid next week...
We raced our on Sunday and what a engine my lad put the mill over the Speed and Ninja, The only thing he stated was the Ninja had a bit more on the bottom end but the Boost walked away from it mid and top end. Only thing that myself dident like was the carby weeped out of every joint on the thing.... but it dident suck air or anything like that...
you guys should try one of my Mod JPX engines ! wanna see fast ? look no further !
