Hi, I currently have a MR. Ninja .28 that is on its last leg and needs to be replaced soon in my z01-t truggy. I am looking for a comparable engine that is in the .21 size range. I was looking at the Clocked Mugen Ninja .21 B01A, Clocked JPX .21 Plus and the Clocked Werks B5 and could'nt decide which one to get. So I was wondering if someone could help me choose which one to get? I would like both a great bottom and top end in my motor. But if I had to choose it would be more top end.

P.S. I love the Clocked Argus A52 by the way that I just bought.

tell me more about the Argus !

the modified B5 is likely your best bet...it has the most ridiculous top end of them all ! still has killer bottom too, but its top end is unreal

How does the clocked Jpx .21 compare in performance to the clocked Werks B5? Does it have more bottom end than top end? I read on the product page that it is one of your favorites to run in a truggy.

I currently have the Argus in my Losi 8ight-t and the thing screams. The power band for the engine is amazing from bottom to top. Run times with the engine are pretty good, with them averaging anywhere from 9 to 10 minutes. Breaking in the engine was also a breeze and its starts up right away.

the JPX has more bottom then the B5, but less on top...still screams like a banshee, but not like the B5 does....both are killer engines....

Ok thanks for the help. Now Im really set on the Werks B5. I have one more question and that is with the clocked B5 and B5 pro. Do both of them get the same modification or are they different? I know the pro has the filled crank and ceramic rear bearing. Do they alomost perform the same?

the difference is the Pro has the black case, extra lightened cooling head, billet backplate, ceramic rear bearing, double shielded front bearing.... Both my pro and non pro modified will perform the same tho..... The Pro just has more bling and upgraded bearings....

Hi

I'm also looking at one of these two motors for my truggy. How does the fuel economy compare between the JPX & B5?

Thanks

I need help choosing an engine for Serpent Truggy.  I heard the Nova's are nice but how do they compare to the B5 and also what is the best bang for the buck in your clocked engines.

Thanks,

John

The Nova P5 and Werks B5 compare very well...the B5 has more top end, but a little less bottom, the P5 has more bottom but a little less top end...The B5 has proven to amazing on fuel, and reports on the P5 show it to be killer on fuel as well

the best bang for the buck would be my Argus A52....it makes a pile of HP for a engine priced so low.....
